The Alliance recently testified in front of the Insurance and Real Estate Committee in support of S.B. No. 384 “An Act Concerning Mental Health Parity, Data Reported by Managed Care Organizations and The All-Payer Claims Database.” The legislation would enforce mental health parity and result in increased access to a larger scope of evidence-based mental health and addiction care for many individuals in Connecticut. Currently, a multitude of barriers still exist to access behavioral health services in Connecticut, including delays and denials for service, as well as restrictive policies.
